Your car tyres have the tendency to go flat, especially when you are driving on challenging roads. Usually, when this happens, it is difficult to move forward. The car also starts to lose balance, so it is better to park the car safely on the side of the road. You can also call a mechanic from the nearest garage, however, you do not need an expert to fix this problem. Just follow these easy steps and you will be good to go again.
Prepare the Car
As soon as you realise that your tyre has gone flat, pull up the car on the side of the road and apply the handbrakes. Ask the passengers to get out of the car. Now draw your toolkit and car jack from the boot and switch on your parking lights.
Check for all the necessary tools in the kit. You will need a wrench and a wheel nut key. Also, look for a brick nearby, which will stop your car from rolling over when on the jack.
Replace the Flat Tyre

Locate the Puncture

If you spot a sharp object stuck in the tyre, try not to remove it. However, if the sharp object is smaller than 3 mm, you can safely pull it out. Removing an object that is bigger than 3 mm from the tyre usually makes the hole bigger thereby making it hard to repair.
Repair the Puncture
Bring out the sealant and the compressor from your car. The sealant is usually in the form of a liquid or a gum-like substance. If it’s a liquid sealant, just open the valve of the tyre and pour it in. It spreads throughout the tyre and seals the tube from within.
If the sealant is a gum-like substance, apply it on the hole evenly. With the help of the compressor, push the sealant inside to seal the hole perfectly. The compressor can easily be plugged in the charging socket given in your car. You might also have to roll over your car, just to make sure that the sealant is perfectly in place.

Pump up the Tyre
Once the tyre is fitted again in the spot, take the car off the jack. Now, with the help of a manual air pump that comes with the car, bring the air pressure to a recommended level.
